A PDF that opens is not automatically production-ready
Adobe's print-production tools treat MediaBox, CropBox, TrimBox, BleedBox and ArtBox as distinct page boundaries, while PDF/X-4 is a standardized print-exchange condition. The local inspector deliberately reports some checks as inconclusive because a browser token scan cannot certify a compressed PDF.

What the result is useful for
A job-aware preflight turns a vague “is this print-ready?” question into specific findings: page size, page boxes, encryption, color-space/output-intent signals, spot colors, fonts and transparency indicators. The selected workflow changes which warnings matter.
How the calculation works
The browser reads PDF objects and dictionaries locally, inventories page-box and production tokens, compares detectable facts with the selected job profile, and reports uncertainty rather than treating absent evidence as a pass.
What this calculator cannot know
This browser preflight does not replace Adobe Acrobat Preflight, a RIP, GWG-compliant preflight engine, barcode verifier or printer-specific production check. Compressed/indirect objects can make some PDF facts inconclusive, and effective PPI/overprint behavior cannot always be proven without deeper rendering analysis.
