Pixels to Inches Calculator
Choose Print/Image for PPI-based raster conversion or Web/CSS for the W3C 96 CSS px-per-inch reference relationship.
Choose what the pixels are for
Web/CSS pixels use the CSS reference relationship of 96 px per inch. Raster print pixels depend on the PPI you choose for the final physical size.

CSS pixels and print pixels are not the same question
For CSS absolute lengths, the W3C reference relationship is 1 in = 96 px and 1 cm = 96 ÷ 2.54 px. For a raster print, pixel count depends on the chosen PPI. The calculator above lets you choose the context instead of silently assuming one.
What the result is useful for
Use this to turn an existing raster dimension into physical print inches at a chosen PPI, or into the CSS reference length when the question is about web layout rather than print.
How the calculation works
Physical inches = pixels ÷ PPI. The enhanced converter also distinguishes print PPI from the CSS 96 px/in reference relationship.
What this calculator cannot know
The math can describe pixels, PPI and geometry, but it cannot judge subject detail, sharpening, resampling quality, printer process, media or viewing distance. Use the output provider’s requirement when one exists.
