What the result is useful for

Use this when dialing in a new emulsion, mesh/coating method, lamp distance or exposure unit so testing replaces guesswork.

How the calculation works

Test times are generated around the baseline using percentage intervals; the tool does not claim which step is correct because that must be observed on the actual coated screen.

What this calculator cannot know

There is no universal screen-exposure time. Mesh, stencil thickness, humidity, light output, emulsion and film density all affect exposure; use a proper step-wedge/test image and follow the emulsion manufacturer.
