What the result is useful for
Sheet Yield Calculator helps estimate how sheet geometry and orientation affect yield, sheet count and waste before committing stock or sending a layout to production.
How the calculation works
Base sheets = quantity ÷ pieces-per-sheet rounded up; the result is then increased by the waste allowance.
What this calculator cannot know
This is rectangular planning math, not a press/RIP nesting engine. Grain direction, gripper, color bars, cut sequence, bleed, mixed jobs and finishing can reduce practical yield.
