Grommet Spacing Calculator
Enter one edge length, desired maximum spacing and end offset. The tool gives an evenly distributed layout.
Distribute grommets evenly along an edge
Enter the finished edge length, maximum desired spacing and center offset from each end. The result increases the number of intervals until every gap is at or below the target.
Waiting for real job values
Enter edge length and target spacing.
Geometry is only one part of a large-format job
These tools calculate flat size, paneling, roll usage, finishing geometry or cost. Wind loading, structural attachment, fire/building requirements, media suitability and installer safety are outside the calculator and should be verified for the actual installation.
What the result is useful for
Useful for planning consistent grommet placement instead of leaving a short odd interval at one end.
How the calculation works
Usable span = edge length − 2 × end offset. Intervals = ceil(usable span ÷ target spacing). Grommets = intervals + 1. Actual spacing = usable span ÷ intervals.
What this calculator cannot know
Wind load, substrate reinforcement and installation engineering are outside this spacing calculation.
