A4 Paper Pixel Calculator
Calculate A4 pixel dimensions at any PPI. Use the result when preparing artwork, checking layout dimensions, or comparing standard and custom sheets.
Enter your job values
Use the real values from your job. Optional fields can stay blank; zero should only be used when the value genuinely does not apply.

A4 pixel dimensions at common resolutions
A4 has a fixed physical size of 210 × 297 mm (8.27 × 11.69 in). It does not have one universal pixel size: pixels change with the PPI used for the raster file.
| PPI | Portrait pixels | Landscape pixels |
|---|---|---|
| 72 | 595 × 842 | 842 × 595 |
| 96 | 794 × 1,123 | 1,123 × 794 |
| 150 | 1,240 × 1,754 | 1,754 × 1,240 |
| 200 | 1,654 × 2,339 | 2,339 × 1,654 |
| 240 | 1,984 × 2,806 | 2,806 × 1,984 |
| 300 | 2,480 × 3,508 | 3,508 × 2,480 |
| 600 | 4,961 × 7,016 | 7,016 × 4,961 |
What the result is useful for
Use the A4 table for an immediate common-PPI answer, then use the calculator for any custom raster resolution. This avoids treating one memorized pixel dimension as a property of the physical A4 sheet.
How the calculation works
Pixel width/height = the paper size in inches × selected PPI, rounded to whole pixels.
What this calculator cannot know
The result is deterministic from the values entered, but production constraints that are not represented by an input can change the practical decision.
