KDP Interior Page Size with Bleed Calculator
Enter the paperback trim size and bleed mode. For bleed interiors, the page width adds 0.125 in at the outside edge and height adds 0.25 in total; no-bleed pages stay at trim size.
Enter your job values
Use the real values from your job. Optional fields can stay blank; zero should only be used when the value genuinely does not apply.

Inside/gutter margin increases with final page count
| Pages | Inside / gutter | Outside no bleed | Outside with bleed |
|---|---|---|---|
| 24–150 | 0.375 in | ≥ 0.25 in | ≥ 0.375 in |
| 151–300 | 0.5 in | ≥ 0.25 in | ≥ 0.375 in |
| 301–500 | 0.625 in | ≥ 0.25 in | ≥ 0.375 in |
| 501–700 | 0.75 in | ≥ 0.25 in | ≥ 0.375 in |
| 701–828 | 0.875 in | ≥ 0.25 in | ≥ 0.375 in |
These are provider minimums, not a typography target. Use more space where the book design needs it, and recheck KDP before final submission.
What the result is useful for
Use this before setting the document page size so exported pages align with KDP’s trim/bleed model rather than adding bleed to the binding edge incorrectly.
How the calculation works
For KDP bleed interiors: page width = trim width + 0.125 in and page height = trim height + 0.25 in. No-bleed interior page size equals trim size.
What this calculator cannot know
This calculates page geometry only. Margin/gutter requirements, supported trim sizes, fonts, images and PDF submission rules still apply and should be checked separately.
