What the result is useful for

This connects the encoded symbol geometry to actual label artwork and raster/device resolution.

How the calculation works

Symbol side = modules × X. Total side = (modules + 2 × quiet-zone modules) × X. Dots/module = X mm ÷ 25.4 × DPI.

What this calculator cannot know

Encoding capacity, error correction, GS1 application ranges and scan quality are not determined by physical size alone. Formal barcode verification requires appropriate standards and equipment.
